Which program did your student participate in at MTI?

ADMET Exploration and Stability Calculations of FDA-approved Type 2 Diabetes Drugs

Please tell us about your student's experience in our summer internship program.
My son, Ganghee, had a very meaningful experience in the summer program. Since his brother has Type 1 diabetes, Ganghee already had some knowledge about the condition, but it hadn’t fully resonated with him. This program allowed him to dive deeper into the subject, sparking a genuine interest and inspiring him further. When he completed the program, he told me it was fascinating and that it has made him reconsider his path and potential major in college.

Would you recommend the program to other high school students?

Yes, absolutely! Students will begin with the excitement of being accepted into a prestigious program and will finish with a clearer sense of direction for what they want to study in college.

Student Intern Ramez Hassanen

In August 2024, Ramez joined thousands of researchers at the ACS Meeting in Denver, where he presented his research conducted at MTI. His participation was fully funded as part of an all-expenses-paid trip. What a great opportunity! Congratulations, Ramez! We extend our thanks to ACS Project Seed program for the grant.

Student Intern Ekrem Kaya

In Summer 2021, Ekrem Kaya (a HS student then) presented his research with an undergraduate student Jenny Mendis at the Posters at the Hill Program by CUR. His publication was an excellent addition to his proven academic success, which earned him a substantial amount of scholarship (over $124K) from GMU.
